Properties and Uses

It acts as an appetizer and digestive hence used in digestive disorders. Due to astringent nature it is used in diarrhoea, dysentery. It relieves the feeling of excessive thirst. It is effective in relieving associated symptoms in fever such as thirst, nausea, headache and chills. External application with green leaves is used in burns, skin diseases with burning sensation, swellings and headache. Juice is used for gargling in mouth and throat diseases and as nasal drops in epistaxis.
