Properties and Uses

Nasal inhalation is used in the treatment of chronic sinusitis and migraine. It has astringent nature and anti-microbial properties hence applied externally in oozing and bleeding wounds. Gargles with decoction are done in mouth ulcers. It has nourishing and analgesic action and used in neuromuscular disorders like palsies. It is also used in the treatment of diarrhoea, dysentery and bleeding piles due to its astringent nature. It acts as cough expectorant. It is used in the treatment of infertility, loss of libido.
